Unlike wetsuits, drysuits are filled with air. During your drysuit course, your instructor will teach you how to control the air in your drysuit along with your buoyancy. You will also learn:
-To avoid common drysuit diving problems
-How to choose a drysuit and undergarments
-How to care for your drysuit
How to Start Drysuit Diving
During one pool session and two open water dives, you'll learn how to comfortably and confidently dive in a drysuit. An experienced instructor will help you dial in your buoyancy and shorten the learning curve.
Step 1 - PADI eLearning
PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the independent study part of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor for inwater training, or whenever you have a question. eLearning time commitment: 2-4 hours.
Step 2 - With Your Instructor
You'll practice taking your drysuit on and off, determine how much weight you need, and master basic drysuit skills in a pool before making two open water dives. Total time commitment: 2-3 days
Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying entry-level certification)
Notes:
-There is an ad additional cost for gear rental
-This course is for ages 18 or older
-There can be exceptions on a case to case basis for ages 15-17(Contact the shop for more details)
-Full Payment Due at time of booking. No refunds on training courses cancelled or rescheduled by students. If there is a cancellation due to weather conditions, we will try to reschedule the best we can onto another course of the same type, any change in course type may require additional fees.
